What else can be done in Las Vegas aside from great shows like boxing, concerts and celebrity shows? There are a lot of fun and exciting things to do in Vegas more than just gambling and going to strip bars.
Las Vegas is situated in the Clark County part of the Nevada dessert where hotels and casinos sprouted after the establishment of the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino in 1906. It is, in fact, the largest city in Nevada where its main income generation is through the establishment centers and parks around and the main “strip” of the city.
Las Vegas is now the fastest growing city in the United States. It has increased its revenue from casinos, theme parks, large hotels and resort, and lots of entertainment establishments. A survey in 2006 says that the casino alone has $8.2 billion revenue out of the $10.6 billion gross revenue of the Clark County. This signifies that casino and other entertainment places in Vegas are the country’s backbones.

Most tourists who visit Vegas are into the gambling business. With all of those elegant casinos and hotel out there, 90% of the guests are indeed going to hit that chair in the slot machines. According to surveys, 56% of these guests gamble on the slot machines; 18% play black jack; and 10% are poker players. These are just the top 3 games played in every casino and hotel out there. Aside from famous casinos, Vegas is also known for night clubs – clubs that offer stripping shows where topless dancers entertain the guests. These clubs were among the motivator for tourists and guests to come and see Vegas. Famous for this is the Moulin Rouge. Well, needless to say, these clubs are, a must-visit when one is in Vegas.
Amusement and Entertainment Park
For some guests who are in Vegas for conventions, amusement and entertainment parks are ideal. Some of the famous hotels and resorts here already integrate with them entertainment area like bars, pools, music lounge, entertainment systems, and the likes. Children and minors are limited to this place only.
Sports shows and other Sports Events championships
Because of the large amount of guests the casinos have nowadays, organizing or hosting some of the biggest sporting events in the world attracts more customers and gamblers. MGM and Mandalay Bay are famous for hosting some biggest boxing championship fights. Other hotels offer Race and sport betting in them were guests get a chance to witness the event through large screen projectors and LCD’s.
Instant wedding – the marriage booth
Las Vegas is famous for this instant wedding thing, most especially to teenagers. Couples are attracted to go to Vegas and get married because the process is quick and instant. An average normal wedding can cost 55$ here. There are different styles and gimmicks for every marriage booth here. Some have gazebo weddings, outdoor weddings, Grand Canyon weddings, and other bizarre wedding ideas.
